mimic over NF
Round one starts with mimic playing down a man. Yes 4v5, the way it's been for the last 6 of 7 matches. Well it starts out 1-1 because Zuljin hacks offense, and our 3 defense don't know what a strategy is. Eventually |NF gets teleporters up on D and is able to hold Zuljin to nothing more than a few touches and tosses. They proceed to run 3 offense after a while, and get a couple relays at the end of the match, especially when I froze while playing HW. Not fun. Round ends 60-20 |NF.
Second round starts, and Mess is supposed to leave. We convince him to stay for a few minutes. Then after a few minutes, it's the entire match. Kiljaeden also comes in to save the day, running offense with Zuljin. We figure 2 offense will force them to use 3 defense at all times...and it does. We still give up 2 caps in the first 15 minutes, and the O only struggles out 2. Blah blah, Zuljin says "Defense stop sucking, don't let them cap any more." We take note, and don't let them cap any more. mexi-[e9]- runs O engy with an SG and dispenser up, and things fall apart for the |NF defense. A couple more caps roll in, and mexi apparantly forgot about his SG. But Mess and Psi are good enough to hold defense by themselves. SG back up a few times, and more offense runs. Zul and Kil keep dominating, and mexi keeps jamming timeleft. 90 seconds left, flag is coming out down 80-70. Another run for mexi takes out SG and engineer, and a Zuljin comes away with the flag in th!
e midst of some confusion. Knowing there is only 20 seconds left, mexi goes scout and takes flag from Zuljin. Rockets are spammed on the CP, AC is firing across the map, and mexi caps with about 15 seconds left. The second time in...two days...that psi and mexi have had a match come down to the final seconds.
Overtime rolls around, and Mess really has to go. But he stays. MVP Mess. Things get set up for ip, psi may be the most clutch defender I've seen in a while, and the O pulls out the game winning flag.
MVP goes to Mess for not leaving, and Kil for showing up. What an honor.
