Writeup:
AI over HLHS
first of all, we'd like to welcome nate back to AI. so 45 minutes before the match, I spam in IRC to find out who's around. 3 guys answer so we head into our server to practice. we invite PR to come along to our server to practice on fry_complex. after messing around for a few minutes, we decide to try and change the map from laser. first we decide on haste, but we switch it to ofire_lowgrens at the last minute.
round 1:
D: eric, dan, arctiK
O: nate, nauf
so we start off with the traditional sol/demo/hw defense. HLHS pulled an .AI and stole our usual 3O strat hahaha. both teams get touches here and there and our O manages to get a few more caps off of HLHS' 2D. Boslim & mear did a good job on D, semi-frustrating our O at times. a few minutes into r1, dan switches to demo and we thought of changing eric to sol, but 2 demo's on D seemed to work. when HLHS capped their 5th flag, dan switched back to sol for the final few minutes of r1. Round 1 ends 80-50 .AI
round 2:
D: berg, eric, arctiK
O: nauf, nate
so berg show's up a little before round 2 begins (9:30ish) because he forgot matches begin at 8:30 now hahaha. berg comes in for dan and we run sol/hw/demo this whole round, while HLHS runs 3O again. this time, we do a much better job on D while our O seemed to figure out HLHS' 2D. natfragus(nate and nauf) work perfectly as a team and manage to pull out 13 flags. berg does his autodet thing, eric rapes our O&D, and I show that I cant concaim if my life depended on it:(. We let 2 flags out and r2 ends 130-20 in favor of .AI
happy birthday to our ex-FBD buddy korben! we ran birthday mode r1 for him on our server :D
gg [HLHS]
till next time!
