DoH over !
Date : June 10th, 2002. Silver Title Match DoH vs (!) on tempest_r3
First of I'd like to give out some kudos to (!) who played well tonight. The match could've gone both way, but it went ours. GG.
I've been in DoH for over 18 months now, leading it for about a year, and never in this time have I seen us play with such hearth and desire to make it as a team as I did tonight. All of this is only possible with the strength that brought us our newly recruited friends, tagged with DoH's legendary will to keep the game fun. Tonight's game is a milestone for DoH as it's been about 20 months since we moved from bronze to silver, and now we're moving up again. A bumpy ride it was, but it was worth every match.
DoH is probably one of the oldest clans still alive, as we'll be celebrating our 3rd anniversary the 27th of this month, and I like to think that we're always improving and getting better at what we do.
Now on with the recap.
Round 1 : The rough start.
Now here's a perfect example of two equally skilled teams going at it. It was furious. DoH had lots of flag movement at first, but never took it out. The flag went up all the way to the top of the spiral and never made it further. But we were moving it. Then (!), who hadn't had much luck in cracking our defense, took one out and capped it. Now if that wasn't bad enough, us gimps on HLTV coun't know what the score was because of that damn scoreboard bug. But we had feeling the score was pretty close. They took another one out pretty damn quickly, and capped it. I was sweating like a pig. Then, disaster, roms dropped. We're RW-less right now so we're using in-game comm so we couldn't be warned of the missing DoHer. HAAAA!! 90 seconds later we get the dreaded message in HLTV and Sofa rushes to the rescue. A few more touches and some movement, but that was it for both teams. (!) took the round 31 to 22.
Round 2 : The Decoys strike back.
We played this second round in the unnamed (!) server again, due to our Stomping Grounds being at the crazy house for a checkup, and our Private Grounds are ... somewhere. Anywho, Things got started differently. VERY differently. Sofa lead our offense on a FRENZY. They couldn't get enough, and it showed. The offense pulled out cap after cap after cap. Well, about 3 or 4 or 5 of them, BUT IT SEEMED MORE! On the other side of the map, our defense was having a ball. They stopped everything short of three little flag movements. And that's not because the (!) didn't try everything, cause they tried EVERYTHING. The round ended with DoH in a comfortable lead of 61-3.
Match total : 83-34 for the Decoys.
I know this writeup is longer and more boring than the Bible without the good parts, but I felt I needed to do one before Nuker and Sofa monopolize the writeups. All in all, I'd like to say good game to Omnipotence, and most of all I'd like to thank my DoH crew for letting me believe I still do something around here while they do all the work. Love stealing the credit from you guys.
I tip my hat to everyone who is in, or has ever been in DoH. Great bunch of people.
