SIN over GOO
Our matchup with GOO was a shocking surprise to both teams, since we had scrimmed with the GOOsters the weekend/week prior on friggin' Crossover2 before the schedule had been posted. Talk about karma. lol
Round 1 was requested to be run on GOO's server, so we tried it, saw lag spikes from Hell, and later agreed to run our match on our East Coast Server.
Round One finally gets started, and the caps were evenly run for a while, then Joker got me with a crowbar. From there, the round went spiralling downward for the -SIN- Defenders. GOO got a few extra caps ahead of us, and at the buzzer, 110-80, GOO's favor.
Round Two started after a short break, where we made some changes to our Defense Lineup & Strat. The round started, caps were traded and for a while, both Defenses were struggling with the Offenders, making it a bit tougher to pull caps out. However, at the buzzer, -SIN- pulled a 3-cap lead out, and led us to the dreaded Sudden Death Round. 50-30, -SIN-'s favor.
Calling this final round "intense" wouldn't do the round justice. The Sudden Death round was off and running. GOO's Offenders came at us hot and heavy, and our Defenders held onto and fought over that flag for as long as we could. Our flag was steadily making it's way out of our base, and to my shock, I saw THEIR flag and THEIR Defenders out there on the bridge with OUR flag, and OUR Defenders. BOTH flags, BOTH teams, ON the Bridge, fighting ferociously for those tattered pieces of fabric. All I can remember is dropping my EMPs and Grens in their general direction, hoping to deter their offensive progression, and then I found myself in the water.
Then there was a Cap sound...my heart was pounding as I eyeballed the scores. -SIN-Crimsonblood showed a cap. The RW went WILD!!! -SIN- wins the match with a VERY-MUCH-SO-EARNED cap.
