Thursday night - /tmp managed to defeat -CrUnK- in the TFL 3a semi-finals to earn a spot in the 3a Championship. Twas a lovely night for TFC action on the eery and dark map Darkness. We had practiced our ASS of on this one and felt about as prepared as we could. All the hard work paid off.
Round 1 - /tmp Blue
We tried to play on Crunk's server but they were having problems with the config, so we headed to SMF. Blue base is much easier to defend then red, and our defense was outstanding - preventing them from getting one out of our base. We sent Keymaster on offense to sling EMPs and I hadnt heard of him having so much fun in quite awhile. Offense did great and we managed to gather 6 flags outta the red base. Round 1 12-0 /tmp.
Round 2 - /tmp Red
After a long intermission (ended up helping Crunk get their config fixed), we managed to play as /tmp Red on their server. Man...do I hate playing defense on Red. Most of the /tmp D just never managed to get in the same groove that we were in on round 1. Luckily our offense was still running with a full head of steam, they managed to pull 6 flags this round 2. Crunk's offense did very good this round, using spies very effectively and managed 6 flags of their own. Round 2 12-12 tie.
