eXeL vs /tmp - Red Giant - TFL Match
We played Clan Excelsior last night in TFL and boy did eXeL kick some tushy. It was quite clear Red Giant is a favorite of theirs, they played flawlessly.
Round 1
/tmp played a couple scrims on this map and we had done quite well, but it just wasn't enough to prepare us for the precise coordination by a very good eXeL team. Their offense ran away with 5 caps in the first 10 mins causing us to completely change around our D strat. /tmp tightened up and only allowed 1 more flag to be pulled the rest of the round. Meanwhile, /tmp offense was having a dickens of a time, they had numerous touches but just couldn?t manage a flag pull.
Round 1 60-0 eXeL
Round 2
/tmp O decided to go with some heavier O classes this round with Templar and Fog playing O soldier and demo. They kicked plenty of arse but eXeL still managed to hang on to their flag until the end of the round when the offense finally had a flag pulled to the yard when time ran out. Defensively, /tmp started out alot better keeping eXeL away from our flag for the early part of the round. It only took them a little while to get rolling though because by the end of the round it seemed like there was 4 guys in our flag room all the time with the flag pouring out. Great job by eXeL, their offense was truly impressive on this map.
