GOM over WoV

Match write up

After GOM finally got all of its members piled in the WoV server, WoV saw GOMs yucky pings and decided to be great sports, and offer to play the round on GOM's server who everyone loves. :D. Everyone quickly settled in the nice, roomy, spacious and very ping friendly server and the match got underway. About 10 minutes into the first round, our faithful leader Mr_Sledj started to ping into the 800's and was unable to move. Luckily, Pseudo had just gotten back from eating, and was able to sub Sledj out. The round was very fast paced, and with many flag touches by both teams. Both of the demo's on either side snuck past the defense and into the flag room and delievred some punishment while the D was protecting the flag. Round 1 ended with GOM leaving a flag on the ramproom hanging, with WoV with the advantage 105 - 50.
We decided to play round 2 in the GOM server again, because everyone seemed to think it was in their backyard. :D. Round 2 was even more intense than round 1, with both teams getting touches right off the bat. Both defense's seemed to make some roster adjustments, and settled in soon there after. In the first 5 minutes, WoV snuck a demo into GOMs flag room not once, not twice, but THREE times to det the computer. The round continued for the next 15 minutes with WoV ahead again. GOM started to lose hope, but still gave it their all. Finally, GOM managed to damage the flagroom D enough to get the flag to the bottom of the ramp. GOM was furiously going after touches on the flag, they knew they had to get some caps out to win. Meanwhile, WoV was working their O just as hard. The GOM D tried to stonewall them, but they managed to get another flag out of the flagroom. Both teams were rushing the flag, trying to keep it alive. Just as a medic came up on the flag for WoV, GOMs flag returned to the saftey of their flagroom. On the other side, GOM was still working their O and pulling the flag out of WoV's grasp. GOM finally got the flag out, and capped it to even up the scores. After that cap, the GOM offense just opened up the floodgates and kept pounding through the WoV D, grabing their flag and pushing it down the ramp and out of the base 4 more times. In the last five minutes, WoV managed to pull a cap out of the base, with GOM furiously trying to hold their flag at the front door. WoV rushed through the rockets and grenades and flew the flag up top for another 15, putting them ahead 10 points with about 2 minutes to spare. But, the GOM offense wasn't about to let this comeback slip away. They hammered at the WoV D for the last 2 minutes, pulling a cap out, and capping the decision making flag with 20 seconds left in the round.

Final Score +G.O.M.+ 160 | [WoV] - 150

VGG To the [WoV] guys. Great clean match, and was a nail biter up to the last cap!
