Round 1: We started off in the KoB server where they set a record of
-800 + deaths in prematch.
They got the cap out first and then we followed. We had some
trouble with their dual demoman on flag setup since spawn is right there
near flag so we had to use a lot of comms and teamwork to cap on them.
We pulled out to some lead in the middle of the round by 2-3 caps but then
we lost the flag below the main ramp and had a heck of a time retrieving it.
By the time we got it out they had tied the score. Our teams stayed neck and
neck. I'm not sure if they pulled out to some lead during the match but
we managed to get out on top.
Very Clean Round 200-190 Ex
Round 2: Back to the Exodus server and again they were pking themselves
in Prematch. Not quite what I expected at -1000, but it was nice to see
a show during the boring 5 minute prematch.
KoB got out the first cap and then we followed. Then pulled out
to a 4-5 cap lead on us and things were not looking good. We had to find
our rhythm and when we did we started a chain reaction which led to us
catching up. Then they pulled out to a little cushion of 2 caps. Sometimes
they'd pull to 3 caps, but through hard fighting we got it down to 2 caps.
Towards the end we pulled within 1 cap and fought hard to keep it that way.
Knowing it was towards the end KoB tried to stop us from getting in our last
cap, but we managed to get it. Then they had our flag out with barely
any time left.
Our guy got him and KoB ended up top 220-210 KoB
Time for Overtime, Dun Dun Dun
Overtime: To the KoB server batman!
Things were getting very tense over in the Ex base. I wasn't too
sure our D would hold up since KoB got out the caps in both Round1 and Round2.
Off was to spawn first but somehow I was telefragged, GG. After that our
scout rush ended up with us dying by some grenades and pipes. Both flags
had no movement after the first rush. Then we all switched to our regular
capping classes, mainly medic, and started pushing the flag. After a couple
runs we managed to get it out of the flagroom. Then by the chance of luck
I came from the battlements and was confronted with my fellow teammate
coming from the other direction. He grabbed the flag, tossed it to me
and sadly he exploded. I was off to the races and hopefully not make
an ass out of myself and miss the conc. I pulled out a semi-good conc
which got me to the middle part of the battlements. By now KoB was
after their flag. I was killed by a soldier in our battlements and then
they had a medic fight hard for the flag but I managed to get past him
and cap that flag.
