M over NXE
Tonight, we played a great game against a very classy clan, [NXE], and for the first time ever I was witness to a clean game of openspam! Well, not counting the mad TK'ing for the capping of the flag, of course.
Round 1 was on the good ol' M server due to a few problems with NXE's server...I don't even know what it was, I wasn't there! Things got going quickly, with a few quick caps from our zany offense! Meanwhile, our defense was able to master our inner chi, and I made certain to point my rocket launcher towards the west to appease the God of Luck! Wait..that might have been the God of Vegetation ...well no matter, there are Gods of Something-or-another everywhere, and I was pointing at one of them! What was I even saying again...oh, the defense was able to lock down tightly in the beginning of the round, allowing a few touches on the flag but no caps! However, late into the round, the [NXE] gathers all its strength and manages to pull out 4 well-deserved caps from our clutches! Defensive MVP goes to M.Fusion, who somehow manages to break 100 kills. I suspect this has something to do with his TK'ing flag runners and capping their flag, but I could be mistaken...I'll give h!
im the benefit of the doubt. Offensive high scorer goes to M.busta, so I guess I'll give him the Offensive MVP! However, for much the same reason, this also is uncertain...but fear not, local police forces are raiding his house as we speak for evidence, and brutal force has been authorized. Er...some other stuff happened, and round ended with M on top 14-4!
[NXE] seemed to have some difficulties mustering players in the second round, but like true gentlemen they chose to suck it up and play with 7 players...very classy move on their part, and we appreciate it. This round, I was given the blessing of "defensive demoman", which is a latin term for "free caps"! Hoo boy, you should have seen the medics fume! I decided to stop after stealing about 4 caps...partly because of my guilty conscience, but mostly because my teammates were starting to chase and kill me, and started to use an increasing amount of profanity in their sentences. After a bit, 2 more of their players dropped, so we decided to give them our 2 worst players to even the teams, M.Mandingo and M.Lonestar. We've been planning this for years...what a huge weight off our chests! Caps on both sides rang out...albeit mostly from our side, and the round ends 15-3 for us!
