100k.devil.legion meets Zodiac Braves
9/18/99, OGL Ladder, Well and 2forts
Round One: 8-1
Round Two: 3-0
Last night, we faced off with one of our biggest challenges to date in OGL. Both rounds were held on ZB's server that actually started off giving 100kdl a slight ping advantage (nice break from the norm).
Round one was Well and both teams came out really strong. 100kdl immediately sent its jumpers over to the blue base as ZB had its jumpers coming out in full gear. We slipped a scout by one of ZB's strong defensive soldiers unharmed. This opened the door to cap #1 for 100kdl. Afterwards, 100kdl was able to put quite a few touches on the enemy flag bringing it in a total of 7 more times. ZB also put a few touches on our flag being able to sneak a cap out somewhere in the middle of the round. -Side note-
Every time I left the base I saw at least 2 or 3 enemies pilling in through our door or water entrance.
Hats off to 100kdl's defense who held strong in the heat of ZB's offensive pushes.
Round 1: 100kdl 80 - ZB 10
Round two was also held on ZB's server due to the better all around pings. 2forts started off really strong for both sides. ZB already had 2 scouts jumping in our base before our offense made it out of the battlements. ZB got the first flag touch of the game but was stopped short with our quick defense down below. In the meantime, 100kdl's offense rushed the enemy base and pulled the flag out before
their team had enough time to respond. Losing the flag on the way out of the enemy base, 100kdl's star medic was able to bring the cap home. Most of the ZB offense was on a flag touch basis, however they were not able to pull out of the basement. 100kdl put quite a few touches on the enemy flag and was able to bring home 2 more caps with driving teamwork. ZB's basement defense was extremely hard to penetrate considering their very successful implementation of a layered defense.
Round 2: 100kdl 30 - ZB 0
ZB played a solid match and has a great team with a great attitude.
