Writeup:
tmp over LfA
Awesome match tonight vs a very solid team - Lust for Armageddon. We tweaked our O and D in prep for tonight's match...and I'm here to say, hard work pays off! A couple of great firsts tonight - our new /tmp-er popped his cherry in his first match with us - good job FUBAR. Also of interest, Larcain showed that he can hold his own as D soldier - great job buddy!
Round 1 - /tmp Blue
LfA had a really slick scout rush - GJ Magus! and took the early lead. Was really close all round long...with less than a minute to go, we brought home the go ahead cap, dispite our offense missing their jump up...there the flag set in the yard with less than 30 secs to go! Luckily we got it just in time. Round 1 8-6 /tmp.
Round 2 - /tmp Red
Most people think red base is harder to defend...but I think the way our defense plays this map, we're probably stronger on red than blue. Round starts off slow for both sides...initial rushes were squashed. King Nada carries the first cap home, LfA follows a few minutes later. /tmp manages to stay only a cap ahead the whole round, but twas enough for the victory. Round 2 8-6 /tmp.
Great job by both teams on a great map!
This win was(is) particularly good since it broke our 5 game losing streak! w00t!
