Writeup:
SIN over WoV
gg, WoV.
j/k...Yogi had made it a point in IRC that this writeup was not to be some Lame gg and end, so I had to give some grief. :p
The writeup. Ah, I've not had to do one of these in a LOOOOOONG time, so bear with me. Here comes the novel.
Round One started in Canada, where 90% (Including myself) of our guys saw upwards of 50% packet loss on WoV's server. Most of WoV was enjoying pings in the teens with negligible choke. After a few minutes of the PL, the griping over RW from my guys became overwhelming about choke that I had to halt the round to ask for it to be moved to our server due to the choke issues my guys were having.
WoV was gracious enough to take Round One to TX where Skull's Red Cell resides. Pings were considerably more even, and the choke was considerably less. The prematch timer got down to 2-3 minutes, and my HDD decided to do the funky chicken across it's platters, and I'm down for the round. We got replacements, and ran. I didn't hear anything specific, other than that JD was trying to hump their HeavyWeps? I dunno. It's all hear-say, folks. End of Round One, and SIN emerges with a four cap lead over WoV at 90-50. All accounts from the R1 crew say it was a blast.
Round Two. After Round One, my system finally recuperated, and I was back in the action. Since we had experienced the bitter cold of packet loss in Canada, their server wasn't an option for either side. We gave them the option for the TX or the NJ server, and it was back to Skull's Red Cell. PM ended, and Medic/Scout/Spy body parts were everywhere. For a short bit, WoV was able to chain us once or twice, and gained their lead that nearly took the match away from us tonight. I blame my n00bness because I'd left my SG alone for too long. At the end of R2, WoV had a respectable lead of 70-40, but it was one short of a tie.
-SIN- takes the match with an advantage of one cap with a score of 130-120.
Noteworthy Plays:
1. [WoV]johnyd scores a spanner on -SIN-(R)Skull. Welcome to -SIN-, Skull. :D
2. Battle of the HeavyWeps:
Round 1 - -SIN-UnholyW@rlock > [WoV]Yogi - 65 to 63
Round 2 - -SIN-UnholyW@rlock > [WoV]Yogi - 71 to 44
3. [WoV]Magic_Kiwi walked away without taking a lump from my spanner. NEXT time, Kiwi...:D
4. Props to both O Teams for keeping the HWs & SGs busy, and wash, rinse, reapeating so well. :D
To say GG WoV would be an understatement. They played straight-up, there was no chasing/exploits and general llamage. It's truly refreshing to see this kind of gameplay. This is the TFC I know and love to play. Tight game, and always a good time with the Warriors of Virtue. Beez, can we just play WoV throughout the season? Please?
BTW, WoV are NOT F***ing Frogs. Ender asked me to point this out to everyone. kthx.
GG everyone. :)
