TiTz over CnN
Gotta love Thursday's. CnN and TiTz come together on bases to battle it out for an eighth, or maybe even seventh seed in the playoffs...
Rd 1 at CnN's house...
We had some success in rd 2 last week running a four man D, so we opened with that and the results were somewhat predictable. Back and forth this round went, with each team holding a 2 or 3 cap lead at times. TiTz pulled ahead early, but CnN came up with some very nice work on O and pulled even, then went ahead. Towards the end of the round, the bewbz kick it back into gear and score in the final minute or so to knot the round at 165 each.
Rd 2 at the crackhouse...
We talked things over in IRC, made 2 substitutions, and decided to run a conventional 5 man D. Things went awfully slowly for both offenses at the start of this round, as we had turned what was a capfest into a defensive stalemate by switching a man to D. Both O's were getting pounded, and then the bewbz somehow found a hole in CnN's armor. The caps started to flow for us, and kenshin got a couple dets, I checked the score, we were up 55-0. Somewhere around the twenty minute mark CnN got their first one out, they'd get a second shortly thereafter, but that was all our stingy D gave up. The O continued to plug away and brought home the bacon a few more times. Final rd 2 115-30 TiTz.
Overall 280-195 TiTz
GG to CnN and GL in the future.
