HOLY HELL! Tonight we had this distinguished pleasure of playing RES for the STA Gold title. For some of us this was our first title win, myself included but it was hard fought and well played.
Round 1: (X)pand's Brand New Server
We piled into the server for r1 and got underway, right out the door RES's offense was fast and furious bringing in 2 right away, our D lost it for a bit but our O managed to hold together and bring home enough to tie, soon it was a 1,1 kind of deal with us bringing in one for every one they took. I was going insane on rw while we finally heard billdoor's sexxy voice on RW guiding the offense, the round ended with hearts caught in chests 5-5.
Round 2: (X)pand's Brand New Server
RES offered to host HLTV this time so we went in. I had to sit but I spent the whole time in IRC listening to the play by play from GG. Both teams kept the pressure up and Defenses were alot tighter, and the scores were alot less. Tie again 3-3.
OT:
HOLY SHAT This is what it was all about, irc was a train wreck as people were in full swing of excitement, looking for lineups new strats and other assorted goods. I had to sit again but in our efforts to help the team fiend, chone and I syncronized our shpongle listening and in game the team gathered for a group prayer. Prematch started and D was in a frenzy killing scouts, medics and soldiers, finally GG announced that we had got it moving and the cap was not far behind. (X) wins only with the help of John Lennon. 90-80 (X).
Great Game RES was a ton of fun.
