Ok, so yeah... I've been afk for most of the week this week due to the fact that I'm in a management training program at my place of work and in the middle of moving into a new condo (which is ownage), so I hadn't had a chance to look at this map until a whole 2 minutes before the match. Not to mention I'm our only match-ready HW that shows up regularly. (we have a couple backups that are ownage but they're part-timers). Anyway, on to the action:

Round 1:

This one took place on our server, which for some reason decided to be all laggy and crap tonight. None of our offense or DT's offense could conc worth a damn. And it showed in the scores. Bombs flew, I was confused cuz I hadn't been on the map much, and medics died a lot. That damn O engineer was like a mosquito at a midnight barbque, tough to spot and a pain in the ass when he bites you. The round ended with our team down by 2 caps.
Final Score: 30-50 DT.

Round 2:

This one was played on DT's recongheymer server. RG's servers don't like me very much, as I have spots where I timeout for a good 2 to 5 seconds at a time, which is plenty of time for a medic to get past and run home with our flag. Good thing I had my trusty demo Defect backing me up. This one saw our offense, as well as DT's offense with lower pings and lesser choke. I don't think I've ever seen so many medics come flying down a hall parallel to the ground directly into my AC before. It was good times had by all. Apparently DT's team thought they were up by 3 from round 1 and put it in cruise control which allowed our team to pull out a 2 capture victory in this round giving us the pleasure and pain of a sudden death overtime round.
Final Score: 80-60 46&2

Overtime:

This round started out fast and... well... I would say furious, but I think I'd get sued by some ghey movie company trying to cash in on a lame ass sequel that shouldn't have been made in the first place... but I digress. DT's offense was the first to get a touch and get our flag moving. I don't think I've ever been hit with so many concs at one time, but thanks to my extensive training with Neuri, it didn't phase my AC aim one bit and I tore up the scouts coming my way with ease... and a lot of help from my fellow defensives. About the time our flag made it to middle area of the base, our offense decided it'd be about time to win this one for the gipper. A fast scout and medic combo tailed our flag out our front door and into the yard, to which I quickly ran only to see a scout get hit by a conc and shot back to our front door directly in front of my AC. I quickly mowed him down with extreme prejudice. Over ventrilo I suddenly hear screams that we had DT's flag in our battl!
ements and to rush it to cap it. Somehow after Gunnar TK'd me, DT's HW got ahold of our flag and started running it up their water entrance. Bad move, unfortunately, as a medic is much faster than a fatty, and Hudson capped the final and winning capture to clinch 46&2 a spot in the Silver title match.
Final Score: 10-0 46&2

Overall Total: 120 - 110 46&2

GG DT. It wasn't the cleanest match played by either clans, but hell, when it gets down to the title shot matches between two very tough clans, things get kinda messy. Potshots happen, peoples' grenades slip, shit happens. No hard feelings, as it was a hard fought match by both teams. I'm definately sure we'll see you around again.
