IOD over nLv
Rd1 we pile into the nLv server for some fast paced action! I get telefragged by the hwguy ( <3 dough ), so our scout rush was less than full ;p nevertheless, the pulls keep coming on both sides. Luck would have it that we ended pulling a few more than the nLv folks but it was pretty trench-like the whole time... caps caps and more caps!
Rd1 ends IOD 140 - nLv 80
We head on over to the IOD server, west coast style, where we generally ping pretty decent. Our rush wasn't half bad, though we had someone (thanks usted! hehe) drop at the last 30 secs due to his power flickering? Anyways, we keep the same D, and make a minor O change and from the start there was nonstop action! nLv Defense definitely mixed it up a lot, tossing in demos, hws, solds in various spots. Kept the IOD O offguard but they pulled it out. Props to the dialup boys in nLv, they get free beer!
Rd2 ends IOD 170 - nLv 40

Wow... this has officially become the freakiest day of my life.
About 5-10 minutes into rd1, my PC reboots - I guess it overheated. So i'm like "ok, calm down... let's just restart and rejoin."
So I get it back running... and oh look, my cable modem is no longer receiving signal. So I ponder for a bit, and start tinkering... and BAM, the power in half the city goes out. So I call the power company:
"We are currently experiencing power outages in... "Greater Phoenix"
Wow, so my whole city just died!
I wait around for a half hour and end up going grocery shopping only to find that:
1.) Can't get out the garage... ty POWER!
2.) Car battery is dead!
So I'm very frightened by the string of power-related failures this evening... and even more upset that I missed most of rd1 and all of rd2... and even MORE upset that I wasn't there to carry nLv to victory, like I'm always so prone to do :)
Sounds like you guys did a number on us, but as usual, I choose to blame the nLv D.

Hopefully next time it can last a bit longer.

Like I said, why the heck was everyone having power outages during the match? 30 seconds before it started the power here goes out for half a second. So I reboot, 4 seconds later the thing turns off again, I'm cursing the gods of Manitoba Hydro...alas no it turns out the second time I had somehow gotten the power button stuck down and the mobo killed the power as it was supposed to :P
Anyway, I surmise the American government was secretly testing an EMP bomb with a range of several thousand miles.
