nLv over ox

First off, we have to say thanks to ox for being kind enough to let us use our unrostered new recruit, bewb so that we'd have a full team. TY ox, very classy of you :)

As per usual, the nLv server decided to poop out on us, leaving us with two rounds in ox's surprisingly sexy server.

Rd1 gets underway, amidst random ramblings about the Yanks/Sox game, and ken complaining to no end about the Bucs came that he's missing... newsflash ken, no one cares! :) Sadly, I don't remember a lot of the details of rd1, suffice it to say that it was cap for cap for most of the round. It's always an ominous feeling to think that you're going cap for cap with someone, and all they have to do is kick it up a notch (BAM!) and you lose. Luckily for us, the D held tight while the O continued to spam and get lucky grabs :)

Rd1 Defense: ken, don, sponge, daemon
Rd1 Score: 50-40 nLv

Rd2 we go back into ox's again, this time almost certain that they'd take a grab at our water tele strat and wreak havoc on our D. Luckily for us, we expected it and had our O tele hunting quite a bit, and it didn't seem to hurt us too badly. As rd2 started, ox got the first touch, but both scout rushes had some movement. nLv pulled the first flag, quickly followed by ox. ox then took the lead, making it 2-1, tieing the game. It stayed that way for a LONG time. nLv ends up letting a few flags return at the main ramp, which shouldn't have, but ox held tight. With 3 minutes left, we pull another one, getting it to the yard shortly thereafter. ox put up a huge fight, almost getting a return on it at their front door, but in the end, we triumphed! The game winning cap came home with about 2 minutes left, making it 2-2 rd2. But then... WHAM! A relay! Another cap sealed the deal with very little time remaining. Our victory seemed certain once we saw the HW and sniper !

Awesome game ox. I'm glad that despite our recent player losses, we're still able to compete, but that was quite a fight. Had us scared for a lot of rd2, because Overtimes are never polite to nLv :) Very intense, very clean and very fun. GG! And welcome aboard bewb :D
