Writeup:
ViBig over AC
Wow this was a great match. Intense match going into double OT 5v5 sudden death! Now for the writeup.
Round 1 ViBig Server:
Early in the round you could tell this was gonna be a tough match with both defenses holding down the fort very well and not letting much slip by. After a few minutes ViBig pulls out a cap and gets a 1-0 lead. The match drags on with neither defenses letting any more caps out and very little flag movement. Round 1 ends ViBig up 1-0.
Round 2 ViBig Server:
After a little confusion ViBig starts round 2 with only 8, and for about a minute we are down a player until DJ happily joined the server. Once again this round both defenses held very strong but alas ViBig let one slip out getting down 0-1. A few minutes later ViBig pulls the flag out to the yard and then the TFL no max D rule kicks in allowing for wonderful yard Spam allowing -AC- to hold the flag in the yard so ViBig could not cap. Round 2 ends 1-0 -AC- On to Overtime!
1st OT ViBig Server:
Wow both teams were very evenly matched to this point and it showed in the 1st OT. Neither team giving up a cap or moving the flag very far. At this point I am about to fall over and have a heart attack. At the end of 1st OT score 0-0
2nd OT 5v5 ViBig Server:
I didn't know what to expect going into a 5v5 OT. First time I ever remember getting to that point.
ViBig gets the 1st touch, but the flag ends up returning. -AC- also gets a few touches but ViBig is able to hold it down. Then CBB digs deep and gets a touch and puts ViBig in good position to win. However at the same time -AC- is moving the flag on ViBig's defense getting the flag down in to the ramp room. At this point I stopped thinking even about offense in an attempt to hold the flag, then I hear You team has the enemy flag! and am being told flag is in the yard. Fox goes out to cap it bringing ViBig the double OT win 1-0.
Once again very good game -AC- nice to have a match and not hear so much whining and complaning. Very good group of guys and I must add that my chest is still pounding now almost an hour after the match :o
