Writeup:
nLv over SIN
First off, tonight was most likely Nomad's last STA match with us. It's been fun Nom, gg to an awesome fella :)
Last time we played SIN was on monkey_l and we won by a very hefty margin. I'd heard rumors about them beefing up a bit since then and tonight seemed to prove that - although sd2 is a bitch :)
Round1
------
We head into SIN's server, a little late, pulling people out of other games. A few minutes before heading in, Nomad kicked my ass at Literati as well.
Rd1 gets underway. Nothing particularly exciting to speak of. I never really like writing about shutdown2 because it seems like such a repetative map - moreso than most others, imo. nLv pulls a few nice moves and a few nice caps. SIN holds their own in the nLv base bringing in a few of their own. A clean and good rd1 :) And that's all I will allow myself to be forced to write about shutdown 2.
Rd1 Offense: me, metallix, nomad, dasyati
Rd1 Defense: sub, ken, don, daemon
Rd1 Score: 70-50 nLv!
Round 2
-------
Round 2 we head back to nLv's server, where amazingly all of us can conc better, despite pinging not quite as well :o We start with a nice scout rush that brings in a flag. Seems like the nLv Offense had a few less touches and less movement this round, but still made a few nice runs and kept the lead for the entirety of the round. I made a coast to coast about 3 minutes before my DSL decided to have the shitz and played the remaining 10 minutes or so of the match in intervals of 5 seconds or so, in between lag spikes. also, i pwned ken w/ rcon :)
Rd2 Offense: me, nomad, dasyati, ken
Rd2 Defense: shade, sub, don, daemon
Rd2 Score: 70-50 nLv!
An overall good and clean game. nLv dropped an O towards the end for "unknown reasons." Coupled with my spiking, we played with 3 O for a little less than half the round and ended up with the same score both rounds. SIN looks like they can hold their own in silver w/o a prob - but that could just be the shutdown2 speaking :P
GG -SIN- always a pleasure :D
Again, a hearty GG to nomad, and possibly don chico as he may decide to go inactive.
Final Score: 140-100 nLv!
