[RoC] over evo

RoC vs evo on bases2k3 in STA Silver (yes still?)

Hm well going into this match I thought it would be pretty close. All those inspired writers that the Catacombs employs to write epic posts that we call predictions we're calling for a close game, and since they're the experts? Anyways I missed practice last night to do a project so I was wondering if I was playing at all, especially since we had quite a mediocre number of people show up (11... which is different from usual). We practiced for quite a while before the match and got our whole bases2k3-groove on. On a sidely sidetracked note, Marvin Gaye is the man, and Julius Jones is the double man, but we'll cover that later. But yah?

Round 1
We started off in the party server, which is ours by the way. We played as blue. The only reason I remember that is that walking through the secret part of the map the light was all messed up and reminded me of that drug movie Traffic that had a lot of weird camera filters? yah know? the one that made people throw up because it was so poorly done. Anyways we had a fun time talking in prematch. There was a lot of people using the ?ff tag and that made veryvery happy, and probably made tudda (RIP w/ much <3) happy as well. When we actually started it was all fun and games. The offense were kind of iffy for like 30 seconds and then they started capping. I was really zoned out for the first few minutes so I don't really know how the scoring went but I know that 5 minutes in we were up 45-0. During pretty much the entire round the defense was pretty solid. Partway through the match we let out 1 flag for 15 points which was kind of disappointing. They also almost detted our comput!
er once but aqua (love2U) blocked it quite eloquently.

Anyways while the defense was being kewl and stuff (like usual of course), the offense was doing their own thing and capping quite a few flags. They kept up quite the relay until there were about 10 minutes left and they were like? hm? touching the flag is overrated, so they stopped. It was around this time that evo pulled our flag and RoC defense was like "oh shi!%3tarted off in the party server, which is ours by the way. We played as blue. We were in quite a tizzy for a few minutes but then Direhit, being the brave soul that he is, showed us his hairy back. This helped us to manage to step up our game while the RoC offense was being locked out. The last 10 minutes were pretty scoreless and boring. We did a lot of tk'ing in those 10 minutes so it didn't end up that bad. Anyways the round ended and we were all happy.

Half Time!
Well after round 1 ended we went back to IRC to go do some all important line changes. Some kids who didn't play round 1 were going to be in round 2 when all of a sudden we get terrible news.

When we heard this were extremely sad. Some of us even started crying.
The person who cried the hardest was everyone's favorite __________, HB. He cried so hard that we were willing to go to desperate messures to stop him. Finally Dire stepped up to the plate and ripped some of his famous back hair out, gave it to me, and I sewed it into a tissue for dear old Allyn. It was all better after that. We also had some good talks about Julius Jones, who is in fact the man.
