nLv over io
Tonight was a special night, indeed. nLv witnessed the homecoming of Mr_Chicken and Stratus, neither of whom had played TFC with us in quite some time. It was a festivus for the restivus on one of my favorite maps, crossover2.
Round 1
-------
With a few of our D players wanting to play more offense lately, we had a confusing time deciding what strat to use and who to play what. A few sacrifices were made, and things got going...
We start off with 3 scouts and myself as a Demo to open up their yard. In 5 or 6 years of TFC, I JUST now realized that Detpacks don't blow open walls if you get killed by them. About 5 minutes in, I finally make my way to the tunnel, unscathed by the bridge spam and open things up.
nLv's O heads up against a variety of Bridge D, but mostly a pesky HW. Luckily, sponge is our HW, and keeps them all pretty busy with his hot sauce. A slow start sees nLv with the lead about halfway through the round. After that, the caps came in pretty fluidly and nLv pulled ahead to a comfortable 6-2 lead. nLv's D pulls of a good number of nice holds and has the FR on lockdown for most of the round, while io holds a couple of their own at their front door.
Given all the bridge DM'ing that was going on, there were no complaints whatsoever about OvO and I think everyone had a good, clean time.

Sid was forced, very much against his will to play D demo tonight. After seeing his awesome performance in rd1, we forced him to do rd2. He now vows never to play Demo again, but we thank him anyways for his sacrifice :D

We head into io's server and wait through 10 minutes of prematch before we discover they're not playing a rd2.

Final Thoughts
---------------
Good, clean, crossover2 leetness. I love this map for so many reasons and short of an AFM or ip (ooohh, burn!) performance, I don't think there's any way I wouldn't have enjoyed tonight, even without the rd2. (jk ip and AFM, i love you with all of my pp... especially psi... but ESPECIALLY mexi)
