AFM over D

well, I wasn't expecting to do a writeup tonight, because, quite frankly, I was pretty sure that we'd either lose or forfeit.

at warmup at 9ish, we had about 5-6 people. NK tried joining but for some reason his steam would freeze and he was unable to play (an omen from God, no doubt). As a result, we contemplating forfeting.

so at around 9:30 EST we had seven people and we were going to head into the server and play anyway with those seven but Fusion decided that we should stay an extra 2-3 min just to see if anyone would show up. What an idiotic idea that was. Anyway, as it turns out, Palagi showed up and praxis managed to get a hold of blackout who also joined, giving us a team of 9 players.

Round 1: We rush into their server and they have like 11 people ready to play. Before Blackout came in, we only had 8 so they offerred to donate a player for the cause, but they kept referring to him as the "designated teamkiller," so we opted to refuse their offer. Blackout comes in, and it turns out we have 9. We break our wall early and our O gets to their base fast while our D gets in position. We get a few quick caps, but |D| catches up and ties it at 8-8. We switched one of our sols to demo to prevent them from getting any quick caps and I roamed around everywhere as soldier whoring whatever nade bag i could. After that, AFM pulled away, getting another 6 caps while our D locked down and didnt let anymore for the rest of the round. Two of their players dropped at one point, but I don't know for how long. Anyway, they join and it's 9v9 for the rest of the round. They get a flag out towards the end of the round that ended up in their yard but our O + a few straying D mem!
bers managed to hold it. Round ends 20-8 in favor of AFM.

Intermission: fusion says he cant play the whole round because of soccer (a real sport). blackout has to go work out or fuck some chick, i dont know. boaps shows up and is all excited to play because hes like 11 years old but hes adorable so we make him play engy.

Round 2:

we're red this round and i think that makes D harder or something, i'm not sure. anyway, for the first 10 minutes, our D held tight while our O capped three times. after that, their O broke loose and started capping/relaying waaaayy too much. we just couldn't keep up. one of our O players dropped, so we only had 8. when he rejoined, another one of our O players had to go play soccer, so we played roughly 14 minutes of round 2 with only 8 guys. as expected, without fusion's presence we crumbled. Round ends 20-16 in favor of |D|.

Final score: 36-28 in favor of AFM.

well, we didnt expect to play a match much less win, so it was a pleasant surprise. GG |D|.
