EA vs 459
Holy wowness. That was one crazy intense match. This is my first
write up in a while so here goes-
Round 1, 459 server
We pile into the server with our traditional IRC topic reading, JOIN
THE SERVER WE ARE DOWN 1 PLAYER! Of course, we were down a man
again. But that's ok, Dynasty decided to drop in the first 10 minutes
and put us down 2 men before returning a couple of minutes later! The
15 minute mark rolls around and we're down something like 9 ? 104, but
managed to scrape together and prevent any scrums. Just past the 15
minute mark we ended up getting our 9th man in the server; our one and
only banned from STA whiny girl of a player, Nam. Our hero of the
day. In the following 10 minutes or so EA comes back and gets an
amazing 3 scrums to make it close and lose by 16 points.
Round 2, 459 server
We start with all 9 players feeling pretty confident. To our
surprise, 459 holds the center cap point forever and we were losing by
a solid 20 points for the first 15 minutes. Finally our savior, Nam,
clicks her transmit button and gives a motivational speech, GOD WTF
WTF YOU ARE IDIOTS WTF THIS SUCKS THAT'S BS. I'LL LEAVE RIGHT NOW I
DON'T PLAY FOR FUN WTF YOU ARE ALL SO DUMB I'LL LEAVE RIGHT NOW I
DON'T CARE! Well that picked up the rest of the team and we raced
off to victory! We battled over the middle cap point and gained the
advantage and worked up to the only scrum of the round, but were still
down by 25 points overall. We battled over the middle cap point again
and gained the lead. With seconds left in the match, half of our team
gets stuck in the teleporter and lose the middle points to 459. At
this point Nam swallowed the microphone while screaming about
something. The round ends with EA ahead, 124 ? 147. EA squeaks by
with a victory of 7 points and a headache from laughing so hard at our
little Nam. Such a cutie.

This is what happens when i have to leave town. =\ I'm sitting in a hotel using a friends laptop to listen in on ventrilo and hearing everything go perfectly as planned. Score gets up to like 90-4 for us. Then i hear:
OMG! Get center! OMG! Get Arena! OMG! GODDAMMIT!!! OMG! WTF! WTF! OMG!....
...NO!! seriously! WE NEED OUR ARENA!!!...
that goes on until the end when I find out our 100 pt lead got reduced to nothing with 3 back-to-back scrums. That's when I'm like "WTF??!!"
Morale of the story: Stayne can't go out of town on match night.
GJ EA. You guys stuck it to us when it looked like it was game over. For us... the sorriest 7 points ever. :( Our naivety on the map was apparent.
