MoC over TDA

Our clan has been improving over time. Slowly adding some key players and learning what it takes to play at the top level. We put together a decent streak of 4 wins and then got edged out by es. 2 in a row. When I first saw we were playing TDA, I thought that this would be the best chance for an upset, due to the map being so defensive. I thought it take a low number of caps to pull it out therefore giving us a shot. After playing .es last week, I thought their 2 engy strat was better vs the excellent meds and scouts of TDA because it requires spies to break down. So we went into the server with Shaka and he helped us refine it. We dont practice all that long but enough to know what we're doing....

Round 1: The D squad of final(engy), malice(engy, using arms.dll), psycosack(hw), prime(soldier) and gansta(demo) locked it down from the start with good comms and backups(and 2 d players who play in the same room always helps.) TDAs defense was equally solid...After about 10 minutes the o squad of killian, stridex, warlord/qemical and diablo starts getting some tosses and flag movement and sloowwwlly work the flag out and stridex brings it home. We get some more movement including getting all the way to their yard but their experience shows and they get some difficult returns. Towards the end of the round we start grinding that second cap out but they keep holding it and stalling...but as time is running out diablo scoops it up and caps it with 7 seconds left.

Round score: 2-0 MoC

Round2: Going into this round we expect them to make adjustments. Despite little flag movement by them r1, we don't expect a shutout this round. Good players will find a way to pull out the w. This round starts out pretty much the same as the last..except their d is holding a little tighter and they start getting some touches on ours. I see Reen go full time spy which worried me, as that was one of the weaknesses of our setup. For the most part we hold it and as they get another return, Diablo grabs the relay and brings it in. With about 10 minutes left they have 5 offense as our d starts breaking down. They pull out a cap and a few minutes later they pull another making it a 1 cap game...Our o is unable to bring home a security one but d manages to hold it despite some more threatening runs. As time runs out the flag stays on the ground in our flag room and MoC pulls off the upset win.

Round score: 2-1 TDA, Overall 3-2 MoC

Just want to say that it was an awesome run by TDA to put that many wins together. But through hard work and a good strat we managed to win a match few thought we could.
