KoB over GoW
What a fun fun night. Great to see two old school clans finally go at it after all this time. Our real flag runner was not here tonight so Iwas extremely nervous seeing as how I (Cer) had to run flags, and I've never really done that. Rd1 starts and it was pretty slow going except for one-pointers. We got their flag into base a couple times and after a while we capped. They capped a couple times as well. Overall i think we capped 4 times that round. Also overall i think our D killed our O 40 times. Rd2 same server shooterstour in for Hybrid, and Pros in for Mnk, and things once again start off slow. We one-pointer them to death until it was around 21-7 or soemthing and then they turned on the O. Capping once, and then getting 1 or 2 in base. Rd2 we had a hard time getting the sg's down :(. This round i had a caltrop kill on Skate, and a crowbar on someone else. Check the konspiracy forums for the Gibmanmntl version of the match. GG GoW!

How sweet was that match?
One of my best TFC matches in a long long time! GoW has always been a bunch of great guys and it was fun to meet them again on the battlefield. Cer took care of describing how the match went, cap wise, but since this is enclave, we care mostly about the clusterfuck in the middle... hehehe.
GoW had some nice concers, to which Highos was completely oblivious, even if he's guarding the top:
me: "scout with flag upper!"
Highos: "where?"
me: "behind you, he just got into our base"
**the enemy has captured your flag**
Other than that, Tamer and Sully were their usual wonderful selves, killing everything in their path, especially Tamer's delicate side: "red or blue don't matter, it has a pulse, i kill it"
GoW sent lots of offense, a sniper near the end (that we had to counter with one of our own, it was pretty effective), lots of heavy offense.
Cer: "why is that enemy HW going into our yard with the flag?"
Round1, they thankfully kept Azlan in their yard, but round2, they cut his leash and he came a'running! Az, you're still the badass demo I remember from eons ago, when this game had more than 40 clans active, you always were a menace...
All said, I got a wrenchkill on their HW, Cer got a caltrop and a crowbar kill and I think shooter got crowbarred by someone from GoW.
I had a blast, thanks GoW for helping me remember that not all clans are lame in TFC (no reference to previous opponents, recent or not, except AFM)

God, this is the first match I've been able to play both rounds in since [GoW]'s reformation. Unfortunately, no one was staying in their position Round 1 and we only ran one SG, while KoB ran two. I really wanted to play offense Round 1, but Shaggy insisted that I do d on it. Even though I've never played defense on enclave, ever. Nevertheless, playing it made me realize what we were doing wrong and we made the correct adjustments Round 2. Terry_bogard luckily showed up for Rd2, so he demoed on d round 2. I had not practiced nor played this map in years, so I had to get reacquainted with the pipe jumps and what not. Fucking Tamerlane was a PAIN in the ass for our offense, as I remember him being in many other games in the past. I was disappointed to lose our 350th match, but at least it was to an old school clan like KoB.
I finally got the pipejump and prime down about 20 minutes into Round 2, far too late to make any real jump in points. I hate maps that lend themselves to 6 defense, but hey what ya gonna do! Still, GG and nice writeup gibber ;)

The good thing about Enclave is that nobody can cry OvO! because that's what it's all about.
You dont even want them in your YARD with the damn flag, so start shooting!
And yes, Tamerlane is a pain, but you're lucky, you only get shot by him. We get shot by him and have to listen to him on TS also.
I think I should make a lockable channel just for him, and bind a special "mute Tamerlane" key...

lol ya we tried being brave with a real 5 man d 4 man o. It's just too easy to get into the base for that to work. So yall put a whoopin on us first round. 2nd rd we of course decided to not be dummies and play a more conventional d :P What cracks me up is when i see tamerlane at our freaking front DOOR!!!
