Writeup:

nLv over TFCC

First off, let me say that sid is a homosexual. Secondly, let me say that this was an AWESOME game!

Due to forfeits and the like, we haven't played a match since August 22nd. We picked up a few new recruits, mostly homosexuals, like sid, to solve some of our roster problems for Thursday nights. Those recruits paid off tonight and were well-worth their weight in geldings!

To make things better, we got to play our buds at TFCC, who always give us some really great matches. We have a good number of 1 cap wins/losses when we play them, so tonight was bound to be great.

Round 1
-------
We get 10 or 11 people in our server before matchtime and actually get a decent warmup in. I don't know if I'd call it a practice or not, but I'm sure it did SOME sort of good for us. With about 5 minutes till game time we come up with our usual makeshift strat and put people in their spots.

TFCC's prompt and come in. One restart later, the match is underway. TFCC pulls the first cap on their rush, while nLv struggles to get it in the hole (hehehe). TFCC goes up 2 before we pick up our first one and everything is going cap for cap for a while.

TFCC seems to be roaming the top halls a bit much, and their strat doesn't really allow them to shift their attention to the "rr" when they need to very easily. So we take advantage of that when we hit our spurt, no thanks to sid, of course. We (sid) pick up a few consecutive caps, bringing us to a 2 cap lead once the spurt is over.

For maybe 5-10 minutes, both teams go completely capless while the TFCC and nLv Defenses play hide the rainbow roll. Whore is going nuts on the comms, and we certainly owe a bit of rd1 to his bment soldiering.

The spurt ends when nLv pulls one with not too much time left on the clock, bringing us up by 3. TFCC counters, but we hit em right back, and maintain a 2 or 3 cap lead for most of the remainder of the round.

I'm guessing things weren't very pretty on nLv's side of the yard either, but the average uptime of TFCC's SG was about 3 seconds. Equinox was working his magic running O demo, Sid and aic were pulling in some great caps, and i was running around with my penis curled beneath my lags, throwing grenades every which way.

The round ends, and although we've got the lead, we remember that it's torch2, afterall, and a 3 point lead might as well be a tie game.

Rd1 Offense: sid, aic, equinox, me
Rd1 Defense: tempest, whore, ber, fru, ied
Rd1 Score: 100-70 nLv!

Round 2
-------
Everyone joins TFCC's server, and everyone on nLv except for me seems to ping a little worse to it than to ours. Alas, it seems pretty stable so things get started.

Again, TFCC gets the first cap on the rush, and nLv quickly answers. The scores this round were closer than the eyes of a kid with downs syndrome. Both D's seemed to be having a harder time this round with the offenses, who seemed like they got a stronger feel for things. At the same time, even though we capped more in rd2, I thought TFCC adapted and shifted things up pretty well in rd2.

ar6 subbed in for Sid as our runner, and took the flag to the platform on almost every run, just as his magnificent predecessor. But TFCC seems to do a better job of holding it once it's dropped this round. We lose the flag a couple of times, but TFCC only gets a few returns on us.

Meanwhile our D's holding up well against the TFCC O. nLv takes a 2 or 3 cap lead again for a while (I think at the 100-70 mark, actually), but then we hit a speed bump.

TFCC's server (or some other omniscient force) causes at least 3 or 4 players from both team to skyrocket to 800+ pings. I manage to still get a kill, which I'm rather proud of, but with some of our D backbone affected, TFCC takes advantage. As the pings begin to subside, TFCC hits us with a quick relay and ties things up.

nLv loses a few more flags at the pot towards the end of this round, while TFCC gets a second wind. Soon they're up by 1. Then 2. nLv closes the gap, but TFCC just caps again!

TFCC is up by 2 in rd2, and 1 more cap will send us into overtime. There's 1 minute left on the clock, and TFCC brings the flag in. They get a quick conc up to the pot, and tempest saves it from going in. 25 seconds left, and I drop back to D medic for a little bit, though I don't do much good at all.

The round comes to a close with TFCC inches away from the flag at the platform. I ejaculate as the round ends in TFCC's favor.

Rd2 Offense: ar6, aic, equinox, me
Rd2 Defense: tempest, ied, shade, whore, fru
Rd2 Score: 120-140 TFCC!

Final
-----
I was shaking in my shoes for the last 30 seconds of this one. TFCC came inches from tieing, and maybe even winning things. A few clutch saves on the defensive side of nLv sealed the deal for us.

I'm glad that our first match back in a while was against such a good and clean-playing team as TFCC.

Final Score: 220-210 nLv!

vgg TFCC!
