lol, I just love Skull's write-ups - considering he almost forgot to report the match - hee hee ;) <3 skull
If he had written something up I'm sure he would have mentioned that we actually practiced this map a bit, not a lot, but enough that we worked out some O and D strats that we seemed to like. He might have also said that this win was bittersweet because even though we won the match it was Kab's last match with 3Q, he is jumping ship to a clan he used to play with - gg Kab, we'll miss ya *sniff*
As far as the match went...
Round 1 starts with a bang as our defense hammmers the initial BD rush whilst our O get an early touch. Couple of minutes later we get our first cap. Our O has figured out the BD defenses and keeps a regular stream of caps coming while our D really works well to keep BD from touching the flag until about the 10 minute mark. BD gets a few touches but we get returns. At one point, BD drags a flag all the way to our front door but our defense kept pounding away to get the return. Offense does an awesome job of coordinating their runs to continue bringing caps our way.
At the buzzer its 3Q up 17 caps (170-0).
We bring in some new O and D faces for round2 - wow, we had like 14 peeps show up tonight :-)
Round 2 begins and the BD offense totally undresses our D and gets an early snag - within a few minutes they are up 10-0!
Meanwhile BD's defense changes things up from rd1 and really puts a hurtin' on our offense - keeping them at bay for quite a while. Eventually our O finds a hole and gets a cap. Our defense settles in and keeps BD off the board for the rest of the round. Offense is forced to work very hard but is rewarded with 4 caps for the round. Round ends 3Q up 40-10. Nice work on defense BD!
