AGT over nLv

Well, this was the long anticipated match-up between the huge sandbaggers of AGT and the Bronze dynamo knows as nLv. While I'd hoped this match would be a happy return to TFC to an old-school clan coming back for 2nd's, instead the focus was on the evils of clan placement and inequity of the system. All I asked was to let us play our first match before we got into it and the evening came so we finally did.

Round 1 is on the nLv server. Both teams are having some issues with lag and choke but nothing unplayable, just a bit ugly. We start of the round in typical AGT style, as ohman spawns as a demo not a HWguy to start the match not once, but twice, and they capped roughly 10 seconds into the round. We buckled down after that and not long after both sides got into a steady rhythm of touches and tosses going tit for tat for most of the round. nLv managed to either keep or tied or be up a cap for most of the round, and as time ran out, we were all tied up at 7.

Inbetween rounds we're asking what they did and how it worked and so forth and we make our substitutions and head back into the server. I had originally planned to play 15 different players tonight, but due to the fact that a few guys had to miss for various reasons we ended up playing 12.

Round 2 was on the AGT server, where things were a bit more stable for both teams. This time luck is on OUR side as our D spawns and holds through the initial touch, and apparently the nLv HWguy was afk for a few secs after prematch ended so we got the first cap in the first 10 secs or so. We managed to snag 2 more in about a 4-min time span and ohman commented that this was more of what people had been expecting. Apparently nLv must have some sort of ventrilo hacks, because literally as the words fall out of his match, we endured a good 10-min stretch where we couldn't touch the damn flag, and they wouldn't stop touching ours, as nLv managed to tie things up at 3 with another flag on the move. Then we're both tied at 4, then we're both tied at 5. I'm getting worried because I notice they have a fucking scout who is just NAILING his damn conc from the front door to our fucking flag on every run, so we tweak our positioning so both ohman and I can take a shot at him befo!
re he can get the conc off. So he goes right at our weak-link soldier playing the generator and just as we cap to go up 6-5, I hear that the enemy has our flag despite us not seeing ANYONE enter the FR(our HWguy is on the fucking stairs people, yeah, the scout was that fast). We manage to make them drag that one out just as our offense gets some nice relays off themselves, and the only reason we don't get a return is because that same fucking scout keep getting a touch just when its returning. Well they finally manage to bring it home to draw within 8-6, then we go up again 9-6, then they get another to 9-7, then finally we get one more home with a few mins remaing and it ends up being the final cap of the night.
Round 2: AGT:10 nLv:7

I have played 401 matches with AGT, and another 50 or so with various clans, and this one was certainly among the more exciting matches I've ever been a part of, with the outcome only becoming apparent in the last few minutes. Thanks to nLv for giving us more than we could handle, I think I speak for all of us when I say we thoroughly enjoyed it, and gl next week.

A couple of mentionables for anyone who cares:
-The AGT lineup consisted of: Shady, Skate, Linkdead, ohman, King, Bill, Deathinacan, MetalliX, icedover, nokio, Niz and Unabomber.

-AGT was placed in Bronze, with 6 of us coming over from GoW, part of the reason some people felt we were too strong for bronze.
AGT won 17-14 in a great game vs. nLv in Bronze.
GoW won 19-1 in a asswhooping vs. [BoA] in Silver.

Clearly we can see which players had the talent in GoW, lol.
