AGT over THOA
Tonight we faced off against THOA, who we have rarely if ever seen in our history.
Round 1 we manage to score early and often, getting 3 or 4 relays on a THOA defense that was apparently too spread out over the base to effectively stop our offense. We played our normal strat which is more button heavy and managed to hold them to only a few caps and very little movement. But this round was really all about our offense as they grabbed double-digit caps on a map that is notorious for its low-scoring and defensive shutouts, hats off to them.
Round1: AGT - 100 THOA - 20
Round 2 we figured THOA would compact that defense a bit and boy did they. Our offense struggled the entire round to just get the lasers down, but the few times they did they were able to get a cap out of it. On defense they snuck in a guy on us who got the lasers down, and in the process of grabbing that cap, they went back and got them down again to get the relay and jump ahead 2-0 in the round. We finally settled down and got a few returns while only giving up 1 more cap, but it was enough to give THOA the round 2 win while we escaped with the overall win.
Round2: AGT - 20 THOA - 30
Vgg to THOA, great adjustment round 2 to win the round, had you played like that round 1 this match could well have gone the other way, good luck next week.
