GoW over gt
Tonight we had the pleasure to play gt. again, a clan we've met up with twice before now and generally had a good game with. Tonight was pretty good as well, despite being on a map much of our clan loathed from the get-go. However, with an inspiring hold last week versus basically Platinum level players and we felt pretty confident our defense would deliver. Both rounds were held on Ishtar's which was actually not acting up like it normally does.
Round 1 we had a typical defense strategy with players rotating depending upon comms. It worked alright, except that gt. was able to get touches this round which started us out on the wrong foot. Eventually, though, offense was able to figure out the weak point in gt's defense and exploit it. That was around 15 minutes in, but we were able to pull three flags out, while having one return. A well played round.
Round 2 was more of the same with the same lineup, but with one switch from O/D. Heat was getting pounded on the back entrance so Greenbudz decided he wanted some abuse (glutton for punishment!!!) and we made the swap. Turns out that it worked well and Defense pitched a perfect shutout round 2! Offense, took good strides in upping the anty this round by punching holes in both the back entrance and the main ramp. On the plus side, Heat didn't drop any flags in the pit this week! YAY! ;)
