FOoM over zT
zT requested a map change, so we played 2mesa3.

The machinations map is very nice in parts, and shows off some good mapping skills. But it is not fun to play because of a complex design in the Flag Room area. The overall map is creative and unique, but the hall-like FR is a dissapointment. The approaches to the FR are too complex and with too many isolated areas for a D squad to cover with any kind of team work, making it not fun to play.
Yet there would be a fairly simple design change that would solve it. The level with the flag could be raised 2 units, and combined with the level above it by cutting away the ceiling . That would create a larger more open FR, navigable by a few ramps or an elev. Then the appraoches to the FR could be reconfigured from existing hallways, leaving 4 entrys to the FR at various heights. It would create a unique and spectatcular flagroom, fitting the creative map design.
