AGT over INC
Just wow, I'm going to do a write-up in the interest of at least attempting to explain how it went down, but it was FAR too instense for words.
All rounds were played on the AGT Corporate HQ:
Round 1 we go with our normal r1 STA lineup altho we've had some recent recruits pushing some of the starters for playing time. INC strikes first getting 2 of the first 3 caps before our offense manages a great invasion that nets us 3 caps over about a 6-min span. Both teams trade caps down the stretch and AGT clings to a narrow 2-cap lead as the dust settles.
Round 2 we get in the rest of the guys who showed for prac because we had about a million of them this week for some reason. INC jumps on us to start the match piling up a quick 3-1 lead. We manage to sneak one out and ALMOST snag the relay but odin got popped trying to wait for the cap. INC snags the last cap of the round at around the 2-min mark taking the round by 2 and forcing an OT!!!
OT comes and we set our strongest quick-strike offense on O in hopes of FINALLY getting the first cap of the round, something we failed to do in either of the first 2 rounds, with the hope that our defense can just hold them off long enough to get the cap. Little do we know its the defense that manages to keep the flag in the flagroom area for the 9 min OT while the offense has a flag returned before FINALLY bringing home the bacon to give us a shiny STA Silver title to go with our 2a belt.
This really was a hell of a match with a STRONG INC team that could have gone either way, but the gods smiled on us in OT again and we took it home. GG to them and gl next week.
EDIT: There was some fire and brimstone afterward as some members didn't like getting pulled in favor of guys who had sat r1, and it costed us one of our long-time players and one of my favorite Agents. I know some clans put their top 9 guys on the field every round, but that's not how AGT rolls, even if it costs us the match. With as great a match as tonight was it would have been a shame to leave anyone sitting on the sidleines.
