nLv over =WaR=
round1 we were scrambling for people and asked if we could play 8v8. war agreed, so we played 8v8. we still only got 7 at the last minute. thanks to the people that played, death or minor annoyance to those that didn't.
ied and temp telefragged at the start of rd1 because they still haven't learned to control where they spawn, giving WaR a leg up; WaR soon caps the first flag. our O responded a few minutes later, then WaR moves ahead with two more caps.
around this time, rage comes in, giving us 4 O. some people are happy, others are indifferent. agile joins the former group a minute or two after rage joins the server: rage is here! rage... against the machine! why ied said nothing to agile is still under investigation. (to agile's credit, he did acknowledge the lameness.)
our O gets three caps while rage is around, lending creedence to the theory that he's useful. i still have my doubts. WaR caps one more with about 5 minutes left. then, with 3 left, their spy bhops right past me (oops =[ ) and nade jumps out with the flag, taking it water. tempest, in a stroke of brilliance, says nice. their spy, overcome with modesty, says i know and something else i forgot. meanwhile, our entire D (and some of our O) rushes to the yard, ready to stop the spy. ied does the deed, i switch to demo, and everyone spams the water.
5-4 nlv
D: temp, agile, ied, sponge
O: asie (ladies first), ghost, ar6, rage
between rounds, rage has to go back to being a good host. apparently, he said he had to take a shit and played for us instead. (i don't know what to think/say here.) fruity comes, though, and we play rd2 8v8.
unfortunately, no one on D rd2 brought their kneepads; they sucked for the first 20 minutes of the match (get those knees looked at, guys). WaR always had a flag in motion during the period and our O wasn't making up for it. rd2 was a cap race that WaR was winning, at times taking an overall 2 cap lead.
eventually, a wise tactician (post below if you want to take the credit and i'll take it anyways) decides to stuff all our D into the flag room. this slows WaR down enough for our O to make up the deficit. somewhere in there, our O rattles off a few caps in a row and puts WaR down one for the round and two overall. WaR has a flag in a dangerous position when we cap another and put the affair to rest.
round2 ends 10-8 in nlv's favor, making the overall score look something like 15-12.
D: temp, agile, ied, fruity
O: asie (parentheses for the sake of parallelism), ghost, ar6, sponge
