AGT over =WaR=

Tonight was match #500 in AGT history, and WaR gave us a very typical AGT match. Both rounds were on the WaR server.

Round 1 is about to start and of course, we're short 2 guys. We manage to get an 8th as WaR grants us an extra restart (much love boys and girls) and away we go. We manage to keep things close for much of the round as the O plays a man down, and finally get within 2 caps with about 3 minutes to go before I(Shady) get juked out of my jock and let up two last minute caps to end the round down 4-8.

We head back to IRC where I swear up and down that Xcit said he'd be here round 2 and he can run flags so we'll have a good shot at making a comeback. Everything is going according to plan as round 2 starts, xcit is here, and yet it's 1-0 THEM about 5 minutes in. The defense then proceeds to remind me to stop living in the past because Xcit's ancient ass can't even spell TFC anymore. The offense responds and caps 4 back-to-back as we take the round lead and are neck and neck for the overall lead. WaR fights back and manages to cap a few again near the end but it's not enough as we manage to squeak out the round 120-60 and win the match by 2 caps.

Vgg to the peeps at WaR and they were very friendly and considerate throughout the night, I see people talk some shit about them from time to time but I didn't see anything to warrant it in our match.

So AGT turns 500 matches old almost exactly on our 7th birthday. It's rather amusing looking back as we won our first title back in STA Bronze only 4 matches into our existence. It was on a map we'd never heard of before called Torch2 against a clan who's name we couldn't stop laughing about called Knights of Death, you might have heard of them.(lol)

It gives me a lot of pride to have kept at least the legacy of this clan around this long as we have always tried to play for all the right reasons, altho the names have changed year in and year out, the ideals of the clan have remained the same. As some of you have probably seen first hand we've been in one hell of a slump lately trying to get the right mix of AGT-quality people in the clan, which gets harder and harder the smaller the community gets. And while this was on our second win in like 7 tries with our new crew, I've had more fun losing with this one than I did winning with many versions of the ones before it. So as we give this clan one more shot while TFC already has one foot in the grave, I want to thank all of our opponents, admins, and the rest of community for giving us a venue to enjoy this game for all these years.

The game has always been great but it's the community that made TFC what it is and was, gg to all of you from the boys at AGT.
