Fresh from our 200th loss against CF we were committed to not let tempest play tonight, and cause our 201st! Actually he was doing "applications" of some sort... of what kind, I did not inquire.
We all sort of assumed it was gonna be a slaughter, but I imparted my glimmering influence on the Defense this week, since they always suck.
Round 1
-------
We get started on time, and have a smaller showing than our usual monday nights.
the apples have a nice scout rush, and we manage to save an early pull just barely, with some fluke nades (it's what we're good at).
Both defenses close up really tight this round, but both offenses are very persistent and there are no 5-minute-holds on either side. Our D makes a few slip-ups when an engy goes down or goes to resupply (I actually suicided to resupply, more times than I was killed).
ied says he sucked this round (we don't tell him this, but he sucks every round), and equinox plays the top, while fruity stonewalls the button, making up for his attrocious incompetence in torch2 last week.
O keeps the pulls going and makes it out with a few, keeping us with the lead the entire time.

Our O complains a bit about their server rd1 and we decide to leave things mostly the same rd2, in the hopes that our O can pick up the pace rd2.
ga's scout rush is less effective this time, and we get set up and locked down very quickly. On the other side, they get the first 5-minute-hold on us and take a lead. But our O answers with a cap of their own.
Equinox wants me to mention our plat defense for some reason, but I won't... (plat defense). agile and I go nuts on the engy spots, while grannyapples doesn't start to run a O engy until towards the end of the round.
I get a plethora of dispenser kills on grannyapples' 2nd string O lineup (all the rest of them are partying at spring break, i'm told).
Our D holds super tight the entire round, with a few flags making their way towards the spiral, but never out of it.
