THOA over p$u
Prematch dinner consisted of re-heated fried chicken washed down with a generous vodka tonic. Dessert consisted of two prepackaged cookies from Philadelphia.
Its amazing the diffence that happens when you practice before a match. Not like a five minute "wtf is our strat" practice but a real, team-oriented practice. Good game to those THOA that showed up.
It was to our utmost pleasure to host p$u in another tfc clan battle. For those of you counting, playing p$u takes up about 50% of the matches that we've played since being back. We were 1-1 before tonight, but it must be noted that our TFL showing was not up to par. I think the admins know that THOA and p$u have a bit of a grudge seeing as Benedict "doomy" Arnold sold his soul to the devil for a midget-on-midget porno and a spot in p$u's lineup. What's the difference, you may ask? Crazyball will tell you, p$u is full of "little people" not midgets.
Round 1 starts out on our server. We filled up our O with our steam-incompetent letsrock, predz, plucky, along with xoom running flags. On D we had FG pluggin the hole as hw, me on demo, peeka on engi, and the nos/jackal battlements tandem. Now seeing as it was torch2 we were all pretty tense starting out. Their o got the flag caught in a few bad places for the first couple of runs to calm us down and the D gelled after that. We were throwing a no-hitter for the first 15 minutes until my det finger got trigger happy. In the same time, our O capped flag after flag spreading the lead to a comfortable 200 point margin. The last 15 mins of the round, our o did more of the same with xoom getting a net 15 caps and predz & letsrock combining for a net 42 sg kills. On D, FG dusted off that BW tag and put it to good use with some nice cock blocks and midair kills. Peeka really deserves credit for holding up that sg and getting 82 kills mostly without protection. Our batts D held toge!
ther tight with some sweet comms so I could actually hit a det. Rounds ends with a monstrous 230-30 lead for THOA.
Round 2 a miracle occurs and THOA is held to one cap while p$u is shutout.
MVP for the match goes to xO_om for running the flags with 15 caps and 8 coast-to-coats. A close second goes to Peeka for one showing up, and two for holding down engi like he actually has played it before.
MVP for p$u must be malice. Playing demo on this map with two arms is hard enough, good fucking game.
