Mmmfire. good map 6 years ago maybe, horrible map for 9v9 usually but tonight wasn't that bad. Probably because RoC's offense was really good.
Round 1 starts as we barely get 9 in prematch. I tell time to go snipe the batts since that's what he does, craven hws, klob engies, i play demo and karms plays button soldier. our offense is nauf, moms, bp, and dan. Towards the end of the round roc caps 3 in a row on our defense to go up 6-3, but inferno rallies back to get a cap and the relay was almost in the yard when r1 ends.
Between rounds klob leaves, karn comes in to engi, so morale was good since karn promised to put on a clinic. R2 is about to start when we notice we've only got 8 players since nauf went to go smoke a fat spliff between rounds. I see bbbd and nauf both in irc so i tell them both to join, since dan asked to sit and i had to veto that.
Round 2 starts with nauf and without bbbd. Since we were without all star bbbd, I was a little worried. We stayed either 1 cap ahead or tied with RoC for most of the round, then I let dan play demo while i go offense with about 8 minutes left. We were tied at that point, we capped 3 flags in the next 5 minutes and i decided to go defense without saying anything. apparently most of our other offense felt like doing that too, so the last 90 seconds of the match saw us with 7 defense, if you count the bp the scout (who did have 1 kill on defense!).
gg RoC, thanks for not giving us logs just because you're sore in the butt over 90 seconds of extra defense in an online game that featured swing engineers on both sides of the match.
