TDA over U-235 in STA Gold Division Title Shot Match on February 5, 2001 on bases_r2
I must say that i haven't had a match this close since...well...i can't remember the last time...
u235 had some major skills on offense and (since I play offense..) especially Defense... It was simply crazy in u235's flag room...with soldiers poping out of everywhere...with one thought on their minds... KILL JIG!!! (or so it seemed...heh)
On our side of things...our O did a great job of tearing the flag out of u235's death-grip... But thats not important...many people in [TDA] have brought to my attention (ok...just the defense) that I am partial to the Offense (i am..) and that I do not mention the Defense enough in any of my write-ups...Here is an actual quote from one of our esteemed D players...
[TDA]Deathmark: "You are wreaking of bias Mr. Puff"
So...to buck this trend...I shall strive to mention our D's monumentus acomplishments...
Round 1: on [TDA]Grounds of Judgement... This was the first STA match that [TDA] has used Punkbuster in...and it worked just dandy...and our Defense was awesome! u235's O started this round by pulling out a cap...which was followed by [TDA] a few minutes later...in fact...everytime a side capped... the other side responded with a cap of their own...and I worship the ground that our Defense walks on...
Scores: TDA 45, u235 45
Round 2: on the Kiwwatorium
This round was very similar to the first...and I am not worthy to kiss our defense's feet... u235 hit us fast and hard...just as our O hit them...(course our D is superior to our O in EVERY way...)...once again capps were had by both sides with only seconds in between... At the end of the match [TDA] was up by one cap...with u235 dragging out their counter-cap...(thank god for time limits...oh and our Defense and their GODLY skills...)
