TDA over Respawn in TFL, March 8, 2001, on Monkey_l
Whew...Its been a while since I have done one of these so you will have to bear with me...
Round 1: We started on [TDA]Grounds of Judgement, however Grounds has not been feeling very social for the past few weeks...and blessed Respawn with a 350 ping average... So we played round 1 in Respawn's server instead (in this case it would be Tastes Like MONKEY...) We were a bit worried that our ping would be as bad as Respawns on our server, however, ironically enough, TDA's average ping was better than Respawns... We started with a mixed rush, due to the close proximity of the respawns to the flag room...however i might as well have been a scout...for i was chewed up in seconds... After flinging my dead body, conveniently rigged with explosives, onto the enemy time and time again...we managed to drag out the flag and cap it... While we were repeating this procedure, Respawn dragged out a cap of their own... Then for some wacky reason, while i was attempting to disguise myself as an engineer, the bloody windows taskbar popped up...and my computer does NOT like switching between Half-life and other progs... After a few Ctrl-Alt-Deletes later i managed to end-task everything offending...and i hopped back into the game for the last few minutes...
Scores: 50 TDA, 20 Respawn
Round 2: This round was also played on the quite excellent Respawn server..(which about now was Tasting more like gibs...) Our tactics for this round were fairly similar to the last rounds...with me being the friendly bouncing medic of infection... This about sums up my actions in this round: Conc, bounce, bounce, bounce, SPLAT...respawn...Conc, bounce, bounce, bounce, SPLAT...etc... At about the middle point, Mr. Virus's computer spazzed...and we brought in Swifty while he was rebooting... The bridge became a heated battleground of HW fire, and spy grenades were aplenty...

hmmm...i have this funny feeling that i am forgetting something...but i can't for the life of me remember... ummmmmmm....maybe if i concentrate...wait...its coming to me...oh yeah! I forgot to turn off the space heater in my dorm room...and its probably burning down right now... nahh...that can't be it...I've got it! Some of our players stuck around this glowy floaty thingy...and killed anything that got close to it... Good job defensive-minded people! There was this particular player (who was a bit portly..) that had a particularly large pile of gibs scattered at his feet...i think his name was Pain...but my memory is still a bit hazy due to my constant reincarnation...
Oh crap...i must be slipping...I almost forgot to mention Broadbandgeek...so there....i mentioned him!
