RAH! This was TDA?s first ever Gamecast Broadcasted Match (EvilDead?s badgering of Gunslinger finally paid off), and it couldn?t have gone better! (except for my stupidity 2nd round, more on that later) If you want a real recap of events, you will dl the Mp3 when it becomes available ? as usual I will give my skewed account of events!
Round 1: [CSI] Server (of very even pings)
Everyone got on the server quickly, (our team finally got the message that punctuality is a virtue.) and I had to make the heart-rending decision to boot AC/DC from the lineup due to his ping (well ok so he volunteered, it was still heart-rending!) As the prematch progressed, everyone joked around, and CSI extolled the intrinsic worth of Jell-O pops (not pudding!) I took the chance to search the room and destroy any antagonizing bugs (mosquitoes are a real problem around here ? as my past write-ups have attested) Near the end of the prematch, AC/DC (who was sitting on the sidelines ? on bcom and listening to the ?cast) told me that he had a crush on Gunslinger ? when I typed it, one of our guys made a crack that AC/DC loves anything with a penis. We will leave it at that. Ok, like I said, if you want a real recount of the match, listen to Mr. Guns?s ?cast. I?m just going to highlight some of the more interesting bits! At the start of the round I rushed as fast as I could as a scout, and managed to make it into the flag room without encountering anyone. Before I could pat myself on the back however, I blown to bits by one of Okpod?s well placed grenades. That was the start of a very irritating pattern for me. Thanks to Pigeon?s mad spy work we pulled a flag down, and eventually capped it. Unfortunately (for us) CSI also pulled out a cap. While we were still fighting, CSI pulled out another. Then another. Then another. Thankfully, our D tweaked themselves a bit after that, and didn?t let out any more flags. I really didn?t think our O could catch up, but we would sure as hell try. After a period of seeming futility, we got a flag down, and brought it home. Soon after that, we got another one down, and eventually brought that one home again. Finally, after a few frustrating returns, we pulled out and capped a final flag ? with about a minute to spare.

Round 2: [TDA]Proving Grounds (of ?as-west-as-you-can-get? coastness)
This round was played on our server, and it gave us a ping advantage. During the prematch of this round, even more silliness ensued. While most of our clan attempted to build a pyramid on the respawn, AC/DC was typing homo-erotic things to Gunslinger. Here is an example: ?SHOUTOUT TO YOU GUNS: I want to have oral pleasure from YOU!!!? Gunslinger, however, said that he did not swallow. Right before the match began, EvilDead revealed that ?guns has my children!? This round started similarly as the last for me (read ? I died, quickly) After a little bit, we pulled out a flag, and dragged it to our side of the yard. This is where my stupidity kicked in. I grabbed the dropped flag and primed a conc. The CSI O, realizing their chance, juggled me into the pit. I had a chance to throw the flag, but at the last second I realized that my throw-flag button was not working! Thankfully my fellow O mates did not bitch me out TOO much. (mostly because they realized they didn?t want to piss me off ? I have a tendency to eat souls when angry.) After a while, we started pulling out the flags. During the round CSI had a guy lag out and drop two or so times. All this while, our D did a wonderful job of holding off the frothing masses of Idiot ? O. They finally let one flag out, but after that they held steady for the rest of the round. And once again, I will not say anything more about our D until I receive my justly deserved bribes.

Very GG to both CSI and Gunslinger/Gamecast. I had a wonderful time, and I?m sure the rest of my clan did as well.
