Monday Jan 28th - /tmp vs [EoD] - STA - 2fort 8v8
This was a much anticipated match by both sides and I knew it was going to be tough. [EoD] has been on a real hot streak as of late and they came out guns a-blazin'. I thought we were going to do better than we did since we were feeling pretty confident in our Defense and knew the /tmp offense could get the job done as seen last week. Well, EoD played a great match and shattered our hope to upset them, there-by denying our beloved Kersk braggin rights (one of them EoD fellers is a roommate of Kersk).
Round 1 their offense was relentless and our defense never seemed to be able to get set-up, all the while EoD defense shut-out the /tmp offense. Round 2 we brought in some subs and they made the best of it.
Round 2 /tmp finally saw some caps and the /tmp defense even managed some hard fought flag returns even though EoD's offense still kept the pressure on. By the end of the match I think both sides were having much fun as could be seen by /tmp/RangerPeck's mm2 spammage of "/me does the BULL DANCE" and by the effort of EoD defense AND offense to get a coveted crowbar kill on Kersk. A small victory was obtained by /tmp in that /tmp/Kersk remained crowbar proof the entire match (we wish we could say the same for the rest of the /tmp offense, they all went under via the axe at least once). As promised and hoped for, it was a great match by a great team, GG [EoD], good luck in your STA Silver title shot next week!
Final scores:
round 1 100-0 [EoD]
round 2 90-50 [EoD]
