PF over 404

It seems to me that every time a Territorial Control map comes up 404 ends up on the opposite side of the map from me. Last time it was pipezone in the closest match I?ve ever played in excluding the CPL Finals. 404 is a giant on TC maps, and supposedly PF knows how to play these things as well. Cz2 is a classic, and this match did not disappoint with two of the oldest clans in TFC going at it.

Round 1
Server: 404
Score: 193-189

Things got underway this round on 404?s server hosted by Robo. PF lined up with Grifter and Boob at the far point, Deadpool and Rec at center, with Vega and Bungle holding down the fort at the near point. Our runners for the second straight week were Antigen, Sabado, and Solo. Things got underway pretty much on time, and started somewhat slow. 404 pounced with a pair of all-caps early in the round, but they were just well timed attacks. They seemed to take 3 points we were holding from us at once, and Rev took our home point at will. We managed to respond with 2 of our own all caps and pretty much tie the game up. Things swung back in 404?s favor as 8-ball and Gokuu made swiss cheese of everything at cp3 including their own runners. They pulled a couple more all-caps off and looked like they were well on their way to dominating the end of the round. Fortunately for us we countered with our own record breaking all-cap. How can an all-cap be record breaking? Well after one of our braindead heavies watched a 404 scout cap our home point (and after much complaining about his stupidity on RW) they all-capped and we all-capped. We took all 5 points as fast as can be taken. Antigen and I took our home and near points almost preventing the all-cap respawned and took the far and their home points as Sabado capped cp3. 404 was immediately realing and with 30 seconds left we managed another all-cap by taking the far and home points simultaneously. The round ended with PF on top by a whopping 4 points 193-189. I think it?s safe to say that this is a cz2 record for points in a round that wasn?t lopsided. 4 all-caps each is insane where were the heavies?

Round 2
Server: PF
Score: 162-125

This was the exact opposite of Rd1. 404 managed to all-cap 8 minutes into the game, but we continued to hold a slight edge in control points. We were down about 20 points in the round for the next 15 minutes before we finally punched through and capitalized with our own all-cap, putting us up a few points. We stayed on the offensive and spread out our overall lead into double digit points. 404?s last ditch effort for an all-cap that they needed to win the round opened up the doors for us to grab all 5 points just one last time with less than 2 minutes to go. That padded our 15 point lead and we wound down the round with 404 coming oh so close to one more all-cap only needing the center point for the longest time. This round ended much lower scoring 162-125.

Final score, PF 355 - 404 314. It was a great match 404 and a lot of fun. That?s twice now on TC maps we?ve been down by an all-cap or two and come back in Rd2 to take the victory from you. I wonder if next time we?ll be so lucky.
