RAH! Finally! Back to the maps that TDA doesn?t suck big piles of suckable objects on. (Darkness! Run! BLEH!) We have had experience playing some of the best clans on this map, and we took copious notes. 404 gave us a great night of TFC and were classy throughout. O vs. O fighting was kept to a minimum (except for the flag carriers ? which was perfectly understandable.) Also worth noting ? Punkbuster was not being a bitch for a change!
Round 1: 404 Server
We joined 404?s server and got settled into some pre-match spammage. Lose, being the wonderfully intelligent young man that he is (j/k I love you Lose!), decided to ?Rox some Sox? right there in the respawn room by setting a det-pack. Anybody care to guess what happened next? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Luckily 404 was gracious enough to un-ban his ass. After a bit we managed to get everyone in, and the round started. I guess we used up all of our bad luck with Lose?s tk-ban, because when we started the round, we actually didn?t have someone drop for a change! During the last few seconds of prematch, Mr. Virus predicted that 404?s Iceman would be the first to kill one of our O players?and he was right. That?s right Mr. Virus, you were right. It has to happen to all of us some time. That was the start of a long string of deaths for me, 54 to be exact. Despite my blatant suckage, the rest of our O picked up the slack and kept tossing those flags down. Lose and Mr. Virus played the SG wrecking crew, and Aero played the flag tosser. I played the ?hey-everyone-look-at-me-I?m-a-distraction!? 404?s D was very tight however, and most of the flags that hit the ground were returned without gracing the presence of our cap point. Oh and I guess at this point I should probably mention our D. They did a good job, and stuff. (Insert bribe here?well ok Deathmark, I?ll take credit just this once, but you better pay up! After all, AC/DC can?t do sexual favors for our D anymore?) Seriously, they clicked very well together this match, and handled the immensely difficult job of holding 404?s offense back quite admirably. Towards the end of the round, Iceman decided to be bouncy fatty of doom in the yard, and he owned our heavier classes.

Round 2: [TDA]BBG?s Proving Grounds
This round we swapped in Pigeons and AC/DC (Pigeons, because he finally decided to grace us with his presence, and AC/DC because we missed his wonderful Canadian luck the first round) 404, which I am assuming is a primarily east-coast clan, did not ping as well on our ?as west as it possibly can get before it hits the ocean? server. I am amazed that Defrag actually played this round because of the immense distance between him and our server ? his lag was almost as bad as Lose?s! This time I actually was able to stay alive for a bit on the initial rush, however I was stopped well short of the 404 flag. On my next spawn I ran across the yard as a hail of HW fire followed me. Due to the effectiveness of the Yard HW last round, 404 decided to repeat it. Our spys did not like that, so I ordered AC/DC to dust off his sniper rifle, and he gently persuaded Iceman to take his owning indoors. In the meantime, Pigeons and Aero had managed to toss a flag down, and we started the laborious procedure of dragging the flag away from Snare?s evil pipe-powered clutches. After a good amount of cajoling, we brought the flag home. Next, Pigeons pulled out some sweet ninja-spy moves and pulled out a flag almost single handedly. After a few seconds however, we saw the message YOUR TEAM HAS LOST THE ENEMY FLAG! We asked him where he dropped the flag, and his reply was ????? Yes he had somehow managed to lose his cock-eyed self deep in the wonderful 2mesa3 trench. We didn?t stop laughing until the flag returned. For the rest of the round 404?s D kept us on our toes by changing their d around, but with maximum effort we pulled out some more capps. Oh and if I don?t mention our D again, Deathmark with bitch at me. So there, I mentioned them (Sorry Deathmark, enthusiasm requires MULAH!)

GG 404, thank you for the very well played and intense match.
Btw, I?m not doing any more write-ups in Microsoft Word, the god damn program crashed 3 times while I was writing this essay! Thank god I?m a compulsive saver.
***The write-up you have just read has been the deranged rantings of a sleep-deprived Jigg, and do not necessarily reflect the events that actually occurred. In fact you should probably burn your computer after reading this.***
